Set expectations of yourself high and move forward with continuous integrity.
Most people have it backward: they set expectations high for others and don’t’ pay much attention to how they show up.
How many people do you know who complain about others but rarely look at themselves?
Of course, this is probably not you, but it is important to take time daily and notice what you make judgments about, whether about yourself or others.
Imagine what it would be like to stop thinking in terms of right, wrong, good, and bad, and started thinking in terms of acceptance and understanding?
Accepting the others point of view can be difficult if you are attached to being right.
So just for today, see what it is like to make everyone you come across right about their opinions.
Notice if you have less conflict and possibly more harmony in your relationships.
Today ask:
- “What is possible for me if I stopped judging myself or others?”
- “What can I become more aware of?”
- “What can I do to improve, develop, and change for the better?”
